As part of our occasional blogs on the people who are building Telecom26, we have previously written about Cristian Apostol, one of our mobile core network engineers and Pietro Cotino, Telecom26’s International Roaming Manager, In this blog we are discussing the work of Tanja Bütler.
Based at our HQ in Zug, a large town in Switzerland, Tanja joined us in 2016 after a few months in Australia to improve her English and a commercial apprenticeship at Leuthard Bau AG, a Swiss construction company.
As our Office Manager, Tanja’s role spans most of the different Telecom 26 departments including finance, legal, marketing, pre-sales, operations and HR.
Internally Tanja is vital to the smooth-running of the company. She organises the business trips of everyone whose work takes them outside Zug, and supports the HR-department with day-to-day operational tasks. Tanja recently worked on the implementation of a new Time and Absence Tracking tool for the company which everyone likes as it’s very easy to use!
Tanja is also involved with hiring new people; Telecom26 is growing rapidly and recruiting across all departments.
A key task for Tanja is organising our employee events. We had a big celebration for Telecom26’s 10-year anniversary earlier in the year. And Tanja has already started work on that all-important event, The Christmas Party! As we have people based across the globe, this is, of course, an important evening and our chance to both welcome our team members from abroad in our headquarters in Switzerland and say thank you for everyone’s hard work.
Tanja says that she really enjoys working at Telecom26 as there is a collaborative approach to problem-solving with everyone working together and offering help, when needed. Everyone’s ideas and suggestions are taken seriously - and Telecom26 actively wants its employees to grow and advance in their careers.
In her spare time, Tanja likes traveling, eating Italian food, spending time with friends and going for a walk with Ted, her family’s dog.
