As part of our occasional blogs on the people who are building Telecom26, we have previously written about Cristian Apostol, one of our mobile core network engineers, Pietro Cotino, Telecom26’s International Roaming Manager, Tanja Bütler, our officer manager and Ines Tropa, our marketing manager.
Today’s blog is about Flavia Felix, who works in our finance team.
Telecom26 has two services for business travellers:
Designed exclusively for Enterprise business travellers, Talk, Text & Travel connects our customers to the best network when they travel – and, importantly, enables them to continue using their existing subscription in their home-zones if they wish (for example, they might still be in contract).
In May we announced that Telecom26 is providing global connectivity, including maritime connectivity, to Stream Ocean, an environmental technology company which is helping to save the planet’s coral reefs and the fishes, plants and other marine life that rely on them.
eSIMs offer outstanding convenience and apparent simplicity – no pun intended – and are set to take a significant share of the overall SIM market. They eliminate fiddly hardware, allow great flexibility when choosing networks, and much more. Although it will take some time, with leading phone and device manufacturers increasingly launching eSIM-only devices, the path towards eSIM domination is clear.
In May the GSMA released the latest version of its IoT eSIM specification and this interesting piece by the research company Analysys Mason is worth a read: The GSMA’s new IoT eSIM specification is a step forward in realising the full potential of eSIMs in IoT.
Our team of maritime connectivity experts recently read an interesting piece about the Containers Lost at Sea – 2023 Update World Shipping Council (WSC) report in Shipping and Freight Resource which is “where shipping and freight professionals come for quality content, industry news, analysis, interactive discussions, executive insights from experts in the industry and more”.
