Telecom26 ships Teltonika routers with integrated global SIM cards to SystemOne’s eHealth programme in Malawi

Telecom26 recently signed a new partnership agreement with Teltonika Networks – and the first customer to benefit from our improved global connectivity service will be our long-term digital eHealth customer, SystemOne.

Teltonika is a rapidly growing technology company, manufacturing professional network connectivity equipment for IoT and M2M communication.

Telecom26 will be integrating its Global SIM cards into Teltonika’s RUT241, industrial cellular routers.

Telecom26 has tested and verified Teltonika RUT241 with this first SystemOne deployment and we will be adding other Teltonika models soon depending on our customers’ deployment needs.

Teltonika’s routers include a Remote Management System (RMS) that will be of great use to our customers. It’s an “all-in-one user-friendly IoT platform providing a smart way to stay on top of your whole connected solution completely remotely, securely, and reliably”. This means that it will save both the Telecom26 global connectivity team and our customers time and operational costs, while being flexible and easy to use.

Customers will receive the router with the SIM inserted and ready for immediate deployment.

Telecom26 has a single billing relationship that supports multiple routes to each network provider in the region, including neighbouring country operators.

Put simply, Teltonika Routers + Telecom26’s SIMs and global network = always-on, cost-effective, easy to manage connectivity, delivered promptly.

Key benefits of the Telecom26 global connectivity service:

  • Telecom26 multi-IMSI SIMs enable coverage and service aggregation
  • Service management via Telecom26 subscription portal
  • Multi-forms of connectivity from wireless to fixed broadband as well as VSAT
  • Fault-tolerant and load-balanced connectivity across multiple networks and technologies

In a nutshell, we are providing IoT and global connectivity to the eHealth and mobile health services of SystemOne, a pioneer in the rollout of eHealth and mobile health programmes.

SystemOne diagnostic devices used by medical personnel in Bangladesh, East Timor, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi (where Telecom26 replaced Vodafone), Mozambique, Nigeria, Ukraine and Zimbabwe all have Telecom26’s global IoT SIM cards inserted inside them.

SystemOne will be the first customer to deploy Teltonika routers – in Malawi - combined with Telecom26’s global connectivity.  We will report back on the efficiency and cost benefits.
