Telecom26 and Telenor Maritime Expand North Sea Maritime Connectivity
8 June 2026 · Maritime Connectivity
At Telecom26, we continuously invest in expanding global connectivity capabilities for organisations operating in increasingly complex environments.
As part of this commitment, we are pleased to announce a new roaming agreement with Telenor Maritime that significantly enhances our maritime connectivity offering.
Historically, maritime connectivity has been a complex and costly challenge. To address this, we are currently testing a newly opened connection that will make our mobile services on ferries and near North Sea platforms available to our customers as part of their existing Telecom26 plans, at standard terrestrial rates.
The maritime industry continues to evolve, with growing demand for reliable connectivity supporting crew welfare, operational communications, IoT deployments, and digital transformation initiatives across vessels and offshore environments. By collaborating with leading connectivity partners like Telenor Maritime, Telecom26 aims to provide customers with seamless connectivity experiences wherever their operations take place.
Delivering Uninterrupted Value
This upcoming enhancement reflects Telecom26's ongoing focus on delivering:
- Global connectivity solutions without premium maritime markups
- Enterprise-grade reliability for offshore operations
- Flexible deployment models for IoT and crew communications
- Simplified connectivity management under a single existing plan
- Support for increasingly connected maritime operations
Join the Early Access Phase
We have successfully opened the connectivity and are currently running active network tests. If you want to be among the first to benefit from standard terrestrial rates while operating on North Sea ferries or platforms, contact our team today to join the early access phase.
