Marketing Associate

This job requires demonstrated marketing and mobile telecommunications experience, with a focus on business presentation and documentation skills. The individual will be responsible for refining marketing collateral to develop a cohesive and profitable marketing strategy. The position will interface with product development and engineering in order to lead go-to-market efforts for all products and services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with marketing, sales and product teams to provide marketing support material required and assure proper messaging of solution offerings
  • Assist sales activities in the creation of presentations and proposals
  • Establish specific marketing goals based on overall company objectives to strengthen the company brand
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand product value proposition and regionalize messaging and go-to-market plan
  • Develop intelligent analytical reports with effective visualization based on key performance indicators that addresses vital business needs
  • Conduct market assessments and determine positioning of the company within the market
  • Manage social media efforts for mobile telecom division
  • Support marketing efforts for trade shows and conferences
  • Assist in the management of the content and messaging of the company website
  • Ensure language, style and consistency across all sales and marketing materials
  • Infrequent international travel required

Required attributes:

  • At least 5 years of experience in telecommunications marketing, preferably mobile telecom
  • BS/BA in Business Management, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent
  • Good understanding of mobile networks and infrastructure
  • Ability to work remotely and/or independently. The candidate must know how to find answers to difficult problems
  • Experience in marketing for telecom solutions, with a developed understanding of mobile telecommunications products and services
  • Exceptional skills in creating marketing collateral for B2B business with the ability to build a story board based on solution offerings and technical information
  • Computer skills including expert level proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong communicator in both spoken and written forms
  • Native-level English; other languages are a plus but not required
  • Ability to work in Switzerland

Preferred attributes:

  • Experienced in presenting ideas, products, concept papers to varied audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and capability of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Understanding of web design, usability and content development
  • Experienced supporting social media and content marketing
  • Familiarity with SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with workforce collaboration software

Personality/Character:

  • Highly motivated. Willing to work hard and be rewarded for it
  • Must be organized and won’t stop until the job is “solved forever”
  • Self-starter able to work in start-up environment with minimal direction
  • Attitude and aptitude are key. These traits trump all others
